Daijiworld Media Network – Mangaluru (ANK)

Mangaluru, Dec 23: The city is grappling with heavy traffic congestion at several prominent junctions, causing significant frustration among motorists.

Key areas such as Kankanady, PVS, Alake, and Ladyhill are experiencing severe slowdowns, with vehicles moving at a snail's pace.

Connecting roads leading to main thoroughfares are also blocked for hours, exacerbating the issue.

The persistent gridlock has left commuters stranded and has highlighted the need for effective traffic management to ease the growing woes of the city’s road users.

MCC should look for the dividers where it is causing lot of traffic jams. Specially from Ladyhill to Kottara Chowki. They should remove the dividers at earliest. Traffic Police should be stationed in many places where lot of 2 wheelers and Rikshas are also main reasons. Learners are also who drive the vehicles in slow phase doesnt follow lane discipline. Today i was stuck in the traffic for almost 2 hours starting from Kadri till KPT. near Dinki Dine Traffic ASI is standing at the midway where it was impossible to go forward. They dont know how to maintain the traffic cause they have bribed the Local MLA in lakhs. Aam Jantha has to think now, to whom we have to vote.
