Felicitation, welcome ceremony held at St Philomena PU College Puttur

Puttur, Oct 6: St Philomena PU College, Puttur organized a programme to felicitate the distinction holders and welcome the I PU students on October 5 at Silver Jubilee Memorial Hall.

The ceremony was inaugurated by lighting the lamp by the dignitaries. The president, Fr Lawrence Mascarenhas, correspondent, St Philomena PU College congratulated the students. He motivated students to be humble, sensitive and share whatever they have. He advised students to have faith in God and be thankful to lecturers, parents and work hard to get more success in life.

The chief guest, professor Xavier D'Souza, retd principal of Government Women College wished the students and motivated them to be active. Students should give up their laziness. He advised them to dream and try to fulfill their dreams.

The guest of honour, Maurice Mascarenhas, vice president, Parish Pastoral Council, Puttur congratulated the students and wished them many more success in life.

Guest of honour, Fr Stany Pinto, campus director advised students to lead a good life and be emotionally strong. He said that life is based between 'Birth, Death and Choice '. He wished the students for their tremendous achievement.

PTA president, Shashikumar Rai Balyottu expressed his happiness and advised students to do their duty diligently.

Amritha S V who scored 600/600, from science stream, K NischayKudva scored 599/600 from Commerce stream and Fathimath Shama scored 523/600 from Arts stream along with 140 distinction holders were felicitated on the occasion.

Fr Vijay Lobo, principal, St Philomena PU College welcomed the gathering. Yashawanth, dept of Biology proposed vote of thanks. Santhosh Clarence D'Souza, dept of Commerce compered the programme.
