Mangalore, Oct 23: Big-j Media Network is a non-profitable 24-hour evangelical Christian channel based in Udupi.

It began in a modest way with just about 10,000 viewers in Udupi. Today Big-j has grown to a mammoth proportion with approx 2.5 million viewers in Udupi, Mangalore and Kundapur. With an interesting lineup of programmes consisting of bible studies, powerful messages, worships, programmes for women and children, informative documentaries and spiritually benefiting movies. Big-j has been accepted by the people of coastal Karnataka cutting across denominations and doctrines.

Big-j has yet again achieved a milestone by launching India's only Christian devotional 24-hour Kannada TV channel on web. Ravi Raj Shetian (MD, Athena Hospital) launched the website in the presence of Prashanth Jathanna, (director, Big-j media network), Kiran Karat (Big-j co-coordinator, Mangalore), Nilesh R David, Naveen Soans and others, followed by dedication prayer by Rev Deniel Kaundinya.

Speaking on the occasion Prashanth Jathanna said, "Had it not been for the mercy of God, and sincere prayers of believers nothing could have been possible."
