Mangaluru, Sep 27: “May the welfare association hold various activities through service, making use of the opportunities in the society, said Fr Jayaprakash D’Souza,” parish priest of Our Lady, the Queen of the Universe Church, Ranipura.
He was speaking after inaugurating Welfare association Ranipura at Munnur gram panchayat community auditorium on Sunday, Sep 26. “Let the organization grow together creatively with everybody in the society with one mind as light for each other in the environment,” said Fr Jayaprakash.
Wilfred Rodrigues, director of Rashivana, releasing the banner of the welfare association said that this is the joyful battle for the progress of the society. “The villagers and Catholics are broad-minded. People in Ranipura were united even during the attack of communal forces in 2008,” he said.
Ranipura convent head Sr Meena inaugurated the website of the association and wished well. Munnoor gram panchayat president Wilfred D’Souza, Mangaluru block Congress minority unit president Alwyn D’Souza were the guests of honour. Association vice president Erold Lobo, secretary Ronald Coelho, Pravin D’Souza and Titus D’Souza were on the dais.
Association president Joseph Paul welcomed. Felix Monteiro compered the programme. Jeevan Ferao rendered a vote of thanks.
Mary D’Souza handed over Rs one lac for the services of the association. The association announced Rs 50,000 for the kidney surgery of Sweety Melvita D’Souza. The association informed that Eralt Albuquerque, Navin D’Souza and Wilfred D’Souza will shoulder the responsibility of the emergency team.
