Mangaluru, Sep 21: The Yenepoya School celebrated Hindi Diwas on September 14 by conducting various competitions online for all students of Class I to Class X.
The programme began with a welcome speech by Rumais Hussain of Class VIII followed by a prayer song sung by Shwetha of class X. Hafsa Shaaz, student of class X, enlightened all with details on the significance of the day. The prominence of the day was further highlighted by Akshatha K Ail, teacher of Hindi.
Competitions for Hindi Diwas were based on different NEP levels. Students of NEP 1 were required to share videos of action songs and the winners of the competition from Class I are Aarush Sai bagged the 1st place, Mohammed Shaeem Ibrahim bagged the 2nd place and Fathima Nuha bagged the 3rd place. The winners of Class II are Nidhi Salian at 1st place, Afsheen Mukhtarali Khatib at 2nd place and Hassan Ashaz Ali at 3rd place.
Students of NEP 2 (Class III to V)were required to share videos of storytelling and the winners of the competition for class III are Ayaan Abdul Rahman at 1st place, Akshaj Sunil R at 2nd place and Mohnish Kiran Shah at 3rd place. The winners of Class IV are Sarthak Modi at 1st place and Sana Aysha at 2nd place. The winners of Class V are Ayesh Tanvi at 1st place and Fathima Tamanna at 2nd place.
Students of NEP 3 (Class VI to VIII)were required to make posters with slogans and the winners of the competition for class VI are Shahan Mohammed at 1st place, Rony K Sajan at 2nd place and Muhammed Anas Misbah and Devensh U sharing the 3rd place. The winners for Class VII are Qaayim Bin Tariq at 1st place, Mayur Saliyan at 2nd place and Raihan at 3rd place. The winner for class VIII is Nikhilesh Kulal at 1st place.
Students of NEP 4 (Class IX - X) were required to write dialogues using proverbs in Hindi and the winners of the competition are Hafsa Shaaz of class X bagged 1st place, Rufiya Merchant of Class X bagged the 2nd place and the 3rd place is shared between Shwetha of class X and Anaya Mukhtarali Khatib of Class IX.
Gaurav Nayak of Class IX delivered the vote of thanks. Grace Noronha, the principal of The Yenepoya School then addressed the students in Hindi in honour of the day.
The programme was compered by Rufiya Merchant of Class X.
