Mangaluru: MP Nalin Kateel instructs NHAI to speed up work in district

Mangaluru, Sep 5: MP Nalin Kumar Kateel said that concerned officers should give attention towards the works related to national highways in the district so that they are completed soon.

Kateel was speaking after presiding over the meeting that was organized at the office of the DC in the city with regards to the implementation of national highway projects. He further said, “Addahole-Periyashanthi, Periyashanthi-Bantwal and Sanoor-Bikarnakatte road construction projects are taken up. This has to be completed within a specified period. Periodical meetings need to be held in order to assess the progress of the project. Safety precautions have to be installed in bends and turns that fall within the project area.”

DC Dr Rajendra K V, Shishumohan, project director of NHAI, Deepak Kumar, project director, Mahendra Reddy, project director of S M Outhade construction company and Ratnakar of Dileep builders were present.

    Dear Nalin Sir It seems you have no other words or phrases for meetings with NHAI and contractors. We have been hearing this same sentence since Pumpwell flyover days " SPEEDUP WORK" but unfortunately all progress is at the contractors whims and fancies
