Udupi: Five arrested for attempting to sell MDMA at Maravanthe beach

Udupi, Jan 13: The Udupi CEN Police apprehended five individuals attempting to sell MDMA near Maravanthe Beach in Kundapur taluk.

The operation was led by inspector Ramachandra Nayak, with sub-inspector Pavan Nayak and personnel Praveen Kumar, Praveen, Rajesh, Dikshit, Nilesh, Mayappa Gadade, and Sudeep. The team seized 15.59 grams of MDMA powder valued at Rs 78,000, a car (KA20MD7053) worth Rs 11,28,000, and five mobile phones valued at Rs 50,000. The total value of the seized assets amounted to Rs 12,56,000.

The accused have been identified as Abrar Sheikh (22), Mohammad Ismail Farhan (25), Mohammad Ziyam Belli (26), Nouman (27), and Sajjad Mustaqim Kevak (21).

A case has been registered at the CEN police station.
