Mangaluru, Aug 26: Snehalaya Charitable Trust commemorated its 12th anniversary at the Psycho Social Rehabilitation Centre, Bachalike, Manjeshwar, on Thursday August 26.
Dr Francis Serrao, bishop of Shimoga diocese, offered thanksgiving Mass. Fr Frankline D’Souza, Fr Andrew D’Souza, Fr Stany Pereira, Fr Vincent Saldanha and Fr Felix Norohna concelebrated the Mass.
The bishop said, “The day is not a day to celebrate but to thank God for the immense blessing showered on the founder Joseph Crasta, his family, his team, staff and the institution. It is a rich experience to be here to see that God’s work is being carried out here.”
On the 12th anniversary day of Snehalaya, a newly built community kitchen of Snehalaya was inaugurated by A K M Ashraf, MLA of Manjeshwar. Bishop Dr Francis Serrao blessed the new kitchen and the equipment.
C H Kunhambu, MLA of Uduma constituency, inaugurated the sewage water treatment plant.

The bishop in his message said that it is only 12 years of journey so far and miles to go, but huge achievements, dedicated service and God is leading the organization on the right path. He wished that the organization would grow strong and wide for hundreds of years.
MLA Ashraf, the inaugurator appreciated that the kitchen is well equipped with modern infra and mechanized equipment with international standards. He assured his complete support as the work carried out by Joseph and team is divine.
Joseph Crasta welcomed the guests with the keynote address, Veena D’Souza, administrator presented the glimpses of 12 years. Olivia Crasta, secretary of Snehalaya, rendered the vote of thanks. Rafiq Master compered the formal stage programme.
The guests, donors and workers were honoured with mementoes.
