Mangaluru: Milagres College of Nursing observes World Cancer Day

Mangaluru, Feb 4: World Cancer Day was observed on February 4 at Milagres College of Nursing. The significance of World Cancer Day was creatively showcased through a street play by first-year BSc Nursing students, which effectively conveyed the importance of cancer awareness and prevention.

The street play highlighted the effects of smoking, alcohol, and tobacco products, warning signs, and preventive measures for cancer. Various slogans were recited, and around 250 people witnessed the street play.

The event concluded with the expression of gratitude to the students for making the event a success. The event was graced by the president, Fr Bonaventure Nazareth; principal, Dr Diana Lobo; vice principal, Prof Victoria D Almeida; and Prof Irene Dias. The same street play will be showcased on February 8 at 4 pm at Forum Mall.
