Mangaluru, Feb 4: St Theresa’s School celebrated Parents Day with great enthusiasm, showcasing the talents of its grade 1 students. The event was graced by the esteemed presence of Dr Sachin Nadka, founder of Vedamarogya, consultant, and managing director, as the chief guest. Also present were Sr Shaila, the correspondent, Sr Lourdes, the principal, Collette Cabral, the PTA vice president, and Sr Reena, the vice principal.

The program commenced with a warm welcome for the chief guest, symbolized by the presentation of a sapling. The children then invoked God’s blessings through a soulful dance performance, followed by a vibrant welcome dance that set the tone for the day.

The theme for the celebration, ‘From the cradle of nature to the pinnacle of technology', highlighted the journey of human progress while emphasizing the importance of staying connected to nature. The young students captivated the audience with their creativity through a skit, mime, and dance performances, beautifully portraying the significance of Mother Nature in our lives. Their enthusiasm and talent were met with resounding applause from all present.

In his address, Dr Sachin Nadka enlightened parents on the importance of nutrition in a child’s growth and development, reinforcing the need for a balanced diet and healthy lifestyle choices.

The correspondent, Sr Shaila, applauded the children for their performances and highlighted the importance of communication within families.

The principal, Sr Lourdes, urged parents to follow school guidelines and maintain open communication with the school.

The event concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to everyone who contributed to making the day special. The celebrations came to a close with the singing of the National Anthem, instilling a sense of unity and pride among all.

The Parents’ Day celebration was a memorable occasion, reinforcing the strong bond between parents, students, and educators while inspiring everyone to cherish both nature and progress.
