Beltangady, Sep 23: Dr D Veerendra Heggade, dharmadikari of Sri Kshetra Dharmasthala approved a compensation of Rs 3.47 lac through Sri Kshetra Dharmasthala Rural Development Project (SKDRDP) to people who lost their crops in the recent floods in Hosanagar taluk of Shimoga district in the state.
As many as 252 people whose crops were destroyed would benefit from the project.
SKDRDP director Dugge Gowda and project officer Subramanya Prasad including local staff prepared the assessment report of total damage after visiting the flood victims' families, recently.
