Mangaluru Dec 28: Expert PU College is has announced that its 39th Day will be celebrated on December 29 at its Valachil campus.

The formal programme will be graced by the presence of Dr Ponnuraj, IAS, senior advisor to the executive director, Asian Development Bank, Manila, as the chief guest. Dr Yenepoya Abdulla Kunhi, chanceller of Yenepoya Deemed to be University will be the guest of honor.

Dr N K Vijayan, principal of Expert PU College Valachil, briefed the media about the upcoming event, stating, "The 39th Expert Day will be a momentous occasion for our institution. The day will be marked by a formal programme followed by a variety of entertainment programmes. We are honored to have Dr Ponnuraj and Dr Yenepoya Abdulla Kunhi join us on this special day."

The Expert Day celebrations are a significant event in the college's calendar, bringing together students, faculty, and distinguished guests to commemorate the founding of the institution.

He also informed that the Time Square Music festival 2024 will be held on Dec 30 at 5.30 pm presenting a mind-blowing fusion music by 'Shiva' featuring internationally renowned artists. The programme will be inaugurated by Dr Vidyabhushana, renowned carnatic singer and doyen of dasa sahitya.

The event will feature the following artistes- Ustad Rafique Khan - Sitar, Pt Praveen D Rao - keyboard, Ankush N Nayak - Sitar, Vidwan BC Manjunath- Mridangam, Manjunath Sattyasheel- drums, Vinay Sharva- vocals, Rajesh Bhagvath- tabla and percussion, P K Santhosh - ghatam and Russel Rodrigues - bass guitar.

Dr N K Vijayan Karippal, principal, Subramanya Udupa, vice principal and programme director, Shruthi V Hegde, assistant programme director, media coordinators Suresh Edanadu and Karunakar Balkur were present.
