Doha, Aug 1 (Gulf Times): Quality Hypermarket, the latest shopping mall on the fast-developing Salwa Road, was inaugurated on Thursday evening by Sheikh Fahad bin Jassim al-Thani, chairman of Quality Group of companies.
A large number of people attended the opening. The hypermarket, covering an area of 200,000sq ft having three floors, will soon have jewellery shops, fast food joints, pharmacies, a restaurant and a money exchange, its promoters said.
The hypermarket will be turned into a round-the–clock shopping facility in a fortnight.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, the group’s managing director Shamsudheen Olakara said the company would ensure that the hypermarket and other outlets operating from the premises would be “affordable to people”.
Olakara said that once the mall would start its 24-hour operations, special care would be taken to ensure maximum safety and security to its customers.
More than 800 cars could be parked in the front and rear of the shopping centre, according to its promoters. The group plans to open another mall in Doha, most possibly by the middle of next year.
