Mangaluru, Oct 30: The Vigilance Awareness Contests organized by Mangalore Refinery (MRPL) and MSNIM Beasant Management Insitute received an overwhelming response for the competitions from colleges from many places in India.
4120 e-certificates were issued for the quiz competition, 105 entries were received for the essay and poster competition from different colleges across states.
Manel Srinivas Nayak Institute of Management in association with Mangalore Refineries and Petrochemicals Ltd hosted 'MRPL-MSNIM Vigilance Awareness Competitions 2020' as part of MRPL’s Vigilance Awareness programme for students. The theme for this year is 'Vigilant India - Prosperous India'. The award distribution ceremony was held on October 29 at MSNIM campus at Bondel, and participants joined via the online platform.
Rajeev Kushwaha ITS, the chief vigilance officer of MRPL inaugurated the programme by lighting a lamp. Addressing the students through online platform, he invited them to make the well-crafted vigilance pledge as part of their life and also while working in the industry to try to re-engineer systems to eliminate chances of foul play.
Presiding over the function, Kudpi Jagadeesh Shenoy, president of WNES, emphasized the importance of good governance as corruption inhibits governance, and only vigilance will play a vital role in promoting economic development.
Dr Molly S Chaudhuri, director of MSNIM welcomed the gathering and introduced the chief guest, Lakshmeesha Bhat GM of Vigilance MRPL administered the integrity pledge. Rudolph Noronha (GM of Corporate Communications, MRPL) rendered the vote of thanks.
Divya Shetty, assistant professor of MSNIM and Praveen Pinto, senior manager of MRPL coordinated the entire programme. Ridhvika Shetty compered the programme.
The inaugural programme was followed by announcing the winners of the various competitions which were held through online mode as per the COVID -19 protocol. The programme was witnessed by the staff of MRPL, faculty, staff and students of MSNIM, and participants and winners of the competitions of the various colleges across India through Zoom.
