Mangaluru, Aug 31: An international virtual conference on 'Physics of Solid State Materials' was organized by the department of Physics at St Aloysius College (Autonomous), here, on September 2 and 3.

Professor Chennupati Jagadish from the department of Electronic Materials Engineering, Australian National University, will deliver the keynote address at the conference.

Dr Deepa Raghu PhD, senior scientist, R&D Services, Bioreliance|SigmaAldrich|MerckKGaA, Rockville, MD, USA. Dr K P Mohanchandra, scientist, Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering, University of California, Los Angeles, USA, Professor Harish Kumar, Pondichery College of Engineering, Puducheri, Professor Arun Isloor, National Institute of Technology, Karnataka (NITK), Dr P S Patil, KLE Institute of Technology, Hubballi, Karnataka, Dr Smrithika Subramani, University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee USA, Dr Dhavala Suri, TIFR-Hyderabad will deliver technical talks during the virtual conference.

Fr Dr Praveen Martis SJ, principal of St Aloysius College (Autonomous) Mangaluru will preside over the virtual Conference. Professor Prakash P Karat, former professor of Physics, Mangalore University and present adjunct professor at the department of Physics, St Aloysius College Mangaluru will be the conference chair. At the conference, more than 40 research scholars will present their research findings. This conference is organized for the benefit of the students, faculty members and research scholars.
