Mangaluru: St Agnes College (Autonomous) conducts webinar on herbal boosters

Mangaluru, Jul 30: The department of Botany, St Agnes College (Autonomous), here, organized a webinar on ‘ Herbal Boosters- to Stay Amid Covid 19’ on July 29.

The webinar commenced at 10.30 am.

Dr Jeddu Ganapathi Bhat, an Ayurvedic professor was the resource person. Froidy Fernandes, Assistant professor of Botany, the convener of the webinar welcomed the participants. Dr Keshavachandra, head of the department of Botany introduced the resource person to the participants. The resource person briefed the participants on herbs, spices, fruits and many more which boost immunity to fight against the pandemic. He stressed on the benefits and side effects of homemade herbal decoctions. The session concluded by solving the queries of the participants.

The participants were asked to fill in the feedback form in order to receive the e-certificate. There were 170 participants, including medical practitioners, professors and students of the college and other colleges.

Froidy Fernandes thanked the resource person and the participants. There was positive feedback from all the participants. At about 12.10 pm the webinar ended.
