Janet Mascarenhas
Janet Mascarenhas who resides in Kurla area in Mumbai had her life turned around after she underwent a medical check-up for skin allergy. Following several medical tests, the doctors confirmed that she has blood cancer which has entered the fourth stage. The doctors asked her to get immediate chemotherapy done. This led her husband, Alwyn Menezes, to race against time to save her life.
“I have the responsibility of serving my ailing wife round the clock as no one else in the family is able to attend her. At the same time, I have the responsibility to take care of my parents who are sick and living with me. The huge amount required for Janet’s treatment has made me completely desperate. Through a religious leader who is my relative, I could contact the Daijiworld office and explain my painful situation. The very next week, the portal published Janet’s agony with a request for help. Within an hour, the readers of the portal started sending money to my wife’s account. The money kept coming in for over one month."
"My wife completed her first and crucial phase of treatment and was discharged from the hospital. Now doctors suggested regular chemo until the cancer cells are removed from her body. I am thankful to all the Daijiworld readers for their kind generosity. At a time when we lost all hopes to save Janet from this deadly disease, Daijiworld readers stepped in the form of angels. I thank all the donors, readers and well-wishers who stood by us during our difficult time," said Alwyn, husband of Janet.
We at Daijiworld, once again extend our gratitude to our readers who supported this good cause, financially and through prayers. We thank our generous readers who have time and again supported the needy and provided them with a new lease of life. Your steady support helps Daijiworld to raise the spirit of humanity. God bless us all.
