Bengaluru, Jul 29: The meteorological department has predicted heavy rainfall in coastal belt and interior parts of the state on July 29 and 30. It has issued yellow alert in 23 districts.
The yellow alert pertains to Tumakuru, Shivamogga, Ramanagara, Mysuru, Mandya, Kolar, Kodagu, Hassan, Davanagere, Chitradurga, Chikkamagaluru, Chikkaballapur, Chamarajanagar, Bengaluru city, Bengaluru rural, Ballari, Kalaburagi, Gadag, Dharwad, Bidar, Uttara Kannada, Dakshina Kannada and Udupi districts.

The rainfall had become weak since the last five days in the coast and south interior Karnataka.
The department has warned fishermen not to go into the sea for two days because of high velocity wind over the sea.
Mangaluru and Manki record seven cm rainfall. Karwar wth six cm and Gadag with five cm were placed second and third in terms of rainfall in the state.
