In a tweet in the twitter account of the district administration, the administration had said that it is found that people have been creating confusions relating to cattle trafficking in social media. The tweet assures that wherever illegal cattle transportation is found, the police will take legal steps, duly asking the people not to fall prey to unsubstantiated rumours.
Deputy commissioner of police (law and order), Arunangshu Giri, said that the department has taken note of the same and investigation has already been started. He said he has spoken to the DC. "If the DC files complaint, we will accept the same. Otherwise, we will investigate by registering suo motu case. We will not overlook this incident," he asserted.
