Bengaluru, Jul 13: State home minister, Basavaraj Bommai, has strictly instructed senior police officers to maintain only the minimum necessary staff at the police stations. Noting that police stations have the potential of facilitating spread of coronavirus infection, he told them to ask constables to work on shifts. He also instructed the concerned to release money under 'Arogya Bhagya' scheme to all the hospitals and see that police staff get treatment at hospitals separately.
"Complaint from the people should be received online and the registered complaints should be investigated. Police personnel aged over 50 should be asked to work from home. After duty hours, necessary financial help should be extended for sanitising the staff and the police station. At the reception, glass cabins should be fixed and facilities to receive complaints should be made therein," he stated.
