Himanta Biswa Sarma, Rajesh Adani takes holy dip at Maha Kumbh

Prayagraj, Feb 21: Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma and his family took a holy dip at Triveni Sangam during the ongoing Maha Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj on Friday. Speaking to the media, Sarma expressed gratitude to Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath and the administration for the well-organized arrangements.

Highlighting the spiritual and cultural significance of the event, Sarma said, “Under PM Narendra Modi’s leadership, Sanatana culture is shining before the world. This Maha Kumbh is proof that Sanatana is the past, present, and future of the world.”

Among the notable attendees was Rajesh Adani, managing director of Adani Enterprises Limited and brother of Gautam Adani. After offering prayers, Adani shared his experience, saying, “We feel truly blessed to be here with family. The administration has done a commendable job.”

Union Jal Shakti minister C R Paatil and his family also participated in the sacred rituals, reaffirming the Maha Kumbh’s spiritual essence.

The Maha Kumbh, held once every 12 years, is one of Hinduism’s most revered gatherings. Over 50 crore devotees have already taken part in the sacred bathing rituals, with numbers expected to exceed 60 cr before the event concludes on February 26.

Economic boost for UP

Meanwhile, CM Yogi Adityanath emphasized the economic impact of the Maha Kumbh, stating that the event is expected to contribute over ?3 lac cr to Uttar Pradesh’s economy. He reiterated the state’s commitment to achieving a trillion-dollar economy, making strides toward its ambitious economic targets.
