Bengaluru, Jul 12: There is a possibility that the results of second PU examinations will be declared on July 20, according to media reports.

Second PU examinations were held in March, except the English language exam, before the announcement of state-wide lockdown over coronavirus outbreak. English language examination was held on June 18.

Students of second PU and their parents have been questioning primary and secondary education minister Suresh Kumar with regard to the results of the examination. Hence the minister has clarified on the same on Twitter.

Many students are calling me to know whether Second PUC results will be announced Today.

I once again inform all that Second PUC results will come out around 20th July.

In his tweet, Suresh Kumar said, "Many students are calling me to know whether Second PUC results will be announced Today (July 9). I once again inform all that Second PUC results will come out around 20th July..(sic)"

This year 6,80,049 students have written the second PU examination. The examinations were held in 1,016 centres throughout the state.

Due to the fear of Covid-19 infection, 27,022 students did not write the English subject examination, which was postponed due to lockdown. The English exam was written with strict safety measures in place.
