Mangaluru: Anticipatory bail for three accused of hurting religious sentiments

Mangaluru, Jul 10: Two separate cases had been filed against Vasanth Giliyar, Sanjeeva Madivala and Ananth Rao in Mulky and Bajpe police stations by Rajesh Kottary and Ganesh Shetty. The complainants had accused the persons named of harming the reputation of Kateel temple and hurting the religious sentiments by transmitting information about the administrative failure of Asranna of Kateel temple, the way Kateel temple is run, misuse of money collected and other irregularities through YouTube and Public Mirror channels.

The third district and sessions court judge who heard the arguments from both the sides, expressed the view that religious sentiments of none of the devotees had been hurt and granted anticipatory bail to all the three accused in both the cases.

Advocates from Udupi, Advocate Aroor Sukesh Shetty, Girish S P Elinje and Santosh Kumar Moodubelle had appeared on behalf of the accused in the court.
