Bengaluru, Jul 5: Dakshina Kannada MP and state BJP president Nalin Kumar Kateel has ridiculed the appointment of new Congress president in the state, stating that Congress leaders themselves will bring down KPCC president D K Shivakumar. He also said that the oath taking ceremony of D K Shivakumar in the city was just a 'show off'.
Speaking to reporters at the BJP office in the city on Sunday, July 5, Nalin Kumar responded to the statement of finishing off of BJP that was raised during the oath-taking ceremony of D K Shivakumar and said, "This is just initial hype. In fact it will not be the end of BJP but the end of D K Shivakumar in Congress.
"Congress is a person-centered party. Ours is a cadre-based party. D K Shivakumar has taken charge of a sinking ship. All Congress leaders will join together and drown D K Shivakumar," he said.
With regard to the handling of the coronavirus pandemic, Nalin said, "There is no confusion among the ministers of BJP in controlling the coronavirus pandemic in the state. Covid-19 is being handled under the leadership of CM B S Yediyurappa himself. Minister R Ashok himself has taken over the responsibility of controlling the coronavirus situation in Bengaluru."
"There is no question of lack of coordination because R Ashok has taken over the responsibility of Bengaluru. All are controlling the coronavirus pandemic in an excellent matter," clarified Nalin Kumar Kateel.
