Daijiworld Media Network - Mangaluru (SP)

Mangaluru, Jul 3: It is gathered that Shanta (30), was killed by her husband, Ganesh (40), by pushing her down a deep stone quarry at Karrambaru Antonykatte near Kavoor. Ganesh, who was working as the driver of a tipper, is absconding.

The murder was committed on the night of Wednesday July 1. Actual reason for the murder is unknown but it is said that Ganesh was unhappy with his wife on certain issues.

Ganesh from Hassan was working as a tipper driver in Kavoor area. His wife, Shanta, was from Salethadka in Kasargod. The couple have a son and a daughter. Initially, the couple used to live at Marakada near Kavoor but had recently shifted residence to a rented house at Kavoor.

After differences arose between Ganesh and his wife, the wife had left to her parental home with her children. The two lived separately for some time. Recently Ganesh went to her parental home, and convinced his wife to come back and live with him.

Ganesh had left with his wife on Wednesday evening but had not returned. The children and Shanta's mother were alone at home. On July 2 evening, Ganesh called his mother-in-law to inform her that he had murdered his wife. The lady then called Kavoor police station to give this information.

The police found that Ganesh had pushed his wife down a stone quarry at Karambaru where he worked. The police who went to Karambaru on Thursday night recovered the body. Murder case has been registered against Ganesh and the police are trying to trace his whereabouts.

What a tragody. Two small children are now without mother.Did he atleast think about these children first of all before committing disaster? He can go to hell but why do this? Now like a coward goes absconding.Put in all news paper his foto and find him atleast to avoid further looking out for a girl to marry.and do same again. One day he will be caught I am sure.He could have simply divorced her if not tally. He too is a not a brave man after this.Stone hearted.May her soul rest in peace.Poor children, heartfelt sympathy to her parents and children.
