Mangaluru: DC office to remain closed for three days from Jul 3 for sanitisation

Mangaluru, Jul 1: The deputy commissioner (DC) of Dakshina Kannada district Sindhu B Rupesh announced on Wednesday, July 1, that the DC’s office will remain closed from July 3 to July 5 as a precautionary measure against the fast-spreading coronavirus. The premise will be sanitised.
 
The district is witnessing an increase in the number of coronavirus cases. As a preventive measure, the district health department has been taking the necessary steps to curb the spread of the virus.
 
 
In an order issued by the DC, directions have been given for the closure of all offices including the elected representatives and ministerial ones. Meanwhile, the entry of the public is banned at the DC office premises.  
 
Earlier on Sunday, the Mangaluru City Corporation office was also closed for a week.

    People are in worst condition in Gulf region. These people not giving permission to charted flight also nowadays to mangalore. Ministers busy on birtday parties, inaugurating statues etc etc
    Worst face of our government. Really they don't care about Covid or people. Just enjoying their ministry position.

    what about daily wages people who travel in public transport is their life is not important , if possible at least do complete lock down and impose curfew , but you people seems to be only taking care of government offices

    Escaping? Medical colleges are been running with students and they r having more public visit than a collector office. Then why they dont sanitize medical collages? Own safety is more important than public safety. Hats off. Very good. Take a look at medical college students, especially dental college students. Dental cases r not an emergency case, still colleges start classes for students. This is utter foolishness. This will lead to high spread of cases. Even in hostels medical and dental students mingle each other. God knows wat will happen on coming days.
