Bengaluru, Jun 19: "I will not become a minister in the government of B S Yediyurappa. I know when to bend and when to explode. It will not be right on my part to bend now," said BJP MLA of Vijayapura Basanagouda Patil Yatnal.
Yatnal was speaking to the scribes in the Vidhana Soudha on Friday. He further said, "I will not become a minister in the government led by CM Yediyurappa. There is no circumstance for the same now. I have also heard that he will not induct ministers now in his ministry. But I am saying from my end that I will not become a minister."
"I am unhappy with regards to the development of my constituency. It is true that the officials were transferred. There is no reason to think that I am soft on these issues. I will convey these developments to where they should be appraised," he added.
"CM Yediyurappa has done a good job in controlling COVID-19 pandemic. I have asked the BJP president to congratulate him for the same," Yatnal said.
Responding to the statement of Vishwanath that Siddaramaiah and Kumaraswamy were responsible for him not getting the MLC ticket, Yatnal said, "All know that D K Shivakumar, H D Kumaraswamy, Siddaramaiah and Deve Gowda were responsible for Vishwanath not getting the MLC ticket. Even the media knows about this," he maintained.
