Kalaburagi, Jun 14: Medical education minister Dr Sudhakar informed that there is no question of imposing lockdown again in the state of Karnataka.
Speaking to the scribes after visiting JIMS medical college in the city on the morning of Sunday, June 14, Dr Sudhakar said, "Prime Minister Narendra Modi is going to speak on this matter with chief minister B S Yediyurappa."
He further said, "There is no lack of infrastructure in quarantine centres. All arrangements are done according to the guidelines." He also defended the system of sending people to their homes even before the arrival of the report of throat swab of suspected people.
The minister said that WHO has made it clear that the chances of the pandemic spreading is minimal if the person does not carry any symptoms.
Now, only those who arrive from Maharashtra and overseas countries are being placed under quarantine, informed Dr Sudhakar.
Dr Sudhakar also paid visit to the famous religious center of Ganagapur Datta Mandir.
