Bengaluru, May 5: People have been taking full advantage of the relaxation in lockdown rules permitted by the government now. The health department officials, concerned about the recklessness of the people, have warned that there will be tough days ahead, and that the people need to be extremely careful.
Commissioner in the department of health and family welfare, Pankaj Kumar, said that the coming period will be testing for everyone. "The number of people getting infected with coronavirus during this period will tell us how far our efforts have succeeded in tackling this pandemic. The department has been making all possible preparations to face this situation," he stated.
Kumar said that the officials have been trying hard to block community infections. He noted that the situation will be tough unless the people pay highest attention to cleanliness, hygiene, and self-discipline. "At present, we are in a comfortable position. But our future days and how we fair in the future will be decided by the results we keep getting then," he said.
The official earnestly requested the people to strictly follow the government orders. He pointed out that experienced doctors have said that coronavirus can be kept at bay by wearing masks when outside, keeping the hands clean and by the regular use of sanitizers.
