Mangaluru, Apr 27: Dakshina Kannada district has been moved from Red zone to Orange zone in a district-wise COVID-19 map released by the department of Health and Family Welfare.

In a tweet on Monday, April 27, the department posted an updated map of the state showing the COVID-19 status of each of them.

Mangaluru has been updated to Orange zone (6-14 active cases). Udupi has been updated as a Green zone (no active cases) as all 3 COVID-19 positive patients in the district have recovered.

If Govt wants to maintain DK and Udupi in green zone, then they should not allow people from Gulf to come back at least for next two years. Else all these hard work done for months will go in drain.

I think you are being selfish and insensitive.
The people from gulf are Indians ..they are not outsiders.. They should bring them back and place them in quarantine along with other procedures in place.
You are the kind which did not allow even cremation of bodies in Mangalore the other day.

Yes. They are Indians. Then why can't they stay there for some time for betterment of India. Suppose, Gulf is not at all effected by Covid but India is effected badly, had these people ever thought of coming back to India to help their countrymen. Never, right?.

Do you know ..What conditions many Indians live in the gulf ? There is a large section of Indian workers who are exploited and not paid salary ..and are living in packed rooms ..and have lost their jobs ..There are Covid cases in the gulf ..and after all the local govts here will give priority to locals ..
Many others have other ailments too.
So its not that easy as you think.. Indians trust the Indian govts actions than the actions taken by the gulf nations.
But seeing from your talks ..human scum, is all the same in any part f the world ..It is better to die than come across people like you .
    Cheers.

When ever there is a discussion on NRIs, the common excuse is that, they send lots of money to India. But they deposit money in their own account, not into Govt's account.

I have been an NRI. I think if they truly care for their country they should stay put . Right now even the govt agrees that the second wave is post the return of the 1 lac plus gulf NRIs. Dont be selfish, stay there and come back when this situation settles. If this law applies to migrant labor why not NRIs?
