Mangaluru, Apr 23: In a tragic news, Dakshina Kannada on Thursday, April 23, recorded its second death due to novel coronavirus. The woman had tested positive in the morning on Thursday.
The deceased has been identified as 75-year-old woman from Bantwal. She is the mother-in-law of the deceased coronavirus patient from Bantwal.
Earlier, the result of her swab test came positive after which she was shifted to ICU in Wenlock COVID hospital from the private hospital where she was earlier being treated after she suffered a stroke.

As she tested positive for coronavirus, the district health officials will oversee the final rites according to medical protocol.
Dakshina Kannada on April 19 had recorded its first death due to novel coronavirus. The throat swabs of the woman's husband and two children were sent which tested negative.
