Kaup, Apr 20: Kaup police sub-inspector Rajashekhar B Saganur, was on duty at the Hejamady check post on Sunday April 19 morning when he got information that cows were being slaughtered in a building owned by Rajab located near Panashini river on Mosque Road at Manipura (west) in Manipura village. On the basis of the information, the spot was raided and the police found that cows were being slaughtered and beef was being prepared for sale there.

Ashraf (31), son of Rajab, resident of Mosque Road Manipura (west) in Maniplura village and Sinnan (19), son of Mohiuddin, living on Mosque Road, Manipura (west), were arrested. Four persons who escaped during the raid have been identified as Ashraf Manipura, Rashid Manipura, Rajab Manipura and Mohiuddin Manipura.

The police who investigated, found that the accused were bringing cows and calves from other places by stealing them, and slaughtering them for making beef without being in possession of requisite permission to do so. The beef so prepared was being transported in a car and sold elsewhere, they found.

The police took into possession various things on the spot, totally valued at Rs 52,250. A case stands registered in this connection in Kaup police station under different provisions of Karnataka Prevention of Cow Slaughter and Preservation of Cattle Act, section 11(1) of Karnataka Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act and section 379 of Indian Penal Code.

    Stealing is a crime and they should be punished according to the law.
    Illegal slaughtering is against law and they should also be punished for this.
    Nobody should support stealing or illegal activities. Both are haram.
    Why Govt. is not interested in allowing the export quality beef to be sold in the local market???
    Why only foreigner can eat Indian beef ???

    Some kind of dirty decease of coastal district going behind poor cattle meat trader. The language of govt may be say be survive on just PULCHAT SAMBAAR but healthy Indians require halaal foods and beef is one of that.

    How every beef trader become thief as per police records. The police must be matured at least to keep sanghi chaddi mindsets away from spoiling the society. Now Almighty God has forced us to sanitize each and Everytime and sanitizing the brain is required largely under communally viral environment

    No one supporting stealing here, Illegal slaughter means those who doesn't have license to slaughter , purchase or sale products, It doesn't means some on steal and slaughter.

    Stealing is against to law and against to any faith. If it is stolen strict action should be taken against who ever it is.

    1 kg. Beef is much much costlier than 1kg..vegetable ...just beef is sufficient for cooking... You will add other items as well... That time vegetables are not costly... Days will come ahead with the eruption of the new virus and people have to abstain from consuming non veg food.....please think over again... Don't just blame vegetables...
