Udupi: Siblings die within five days’ span mysteriously, case registered

Udupi, Apr 13: In a strange and mysterious happening that has occurred at Malpe near here, a two-month-old baby and her four-year-old elder sibling died within a span of five days due to different reasons. Locals have expressed suspicion over the death of both the kids.

Sawood, two-month-old baby of Sumayya Banu, resident of Malpe reported died at midnight of April 6, due to pneumonia as per the complaint filed in Malpe police station.

After five days of this baby's death, on April 10 it is reported that Ayesha, four-year-old daughter of Sumayya Banu, died on the midnight of April 10 as she drowned in a bucket of water at home. A case is registered about this also in Malpe police station and investigation is on.

Post mortem of both the bodies is carried out and the findings and samples have been sent to forensic laboratory. Though rumours are making rounds about the suspicious circumstances under which both the children have died, Malpe police have said that they will take action only after they receive the forensic investigation report.

    Here I believe children are big headache for mother for her freedom she cannot do as per her wish that's why she must have done this. A child never wake up during midnight.
    Thorough investigation is a must in this case
