Udupi, Nov 7: Lions Club Udyavar Sunshine, is all set to host the unique 'Adarsha Dampathi-2024' for Lions couples from District 317C. The competition will be held on Sunday, November 24, at the Udyavar Church premises.
The event is sponsored by HPR Films. Lions Clubs International Foundation (LCIF) coordinator, and director of HPR Films Lion Hariprasad Rai, unveiled the competition poster and extended his best wishes. Businessman Dr Sheikh Wahid from Udupi, former Kapu Press Club president and journalist Rakesh Kunjur, Lions Club Udyavar Sunshine officials, and regional president Lion Melwyn Aranhna were also present.
Lions District 317C, encompassing revenue districts of Udupi, Shivamogga, Chitradurga, and Davangere, has 115 clubs, all eligible to participate in this contest. To support various annual service and social activities, the Lions Club Udyavar Sunshine has organized this event in an innovative manner. Registration is open to the first 25 Lions couples, who will compete in three rounds, each featuring a thrilling lineup of musical performances, humor, and cultural showcases.
Prominent educator and JC national trainer Rajendra Bhat will host the event, while special guests include acclaimed Tulu theater comedian and film actor Aravind Bolar, Daijiworld media founder Walter Nandalike, Guinness record-holder in yoga Tanushree Pithrodi, and the Middle Class Family movie team will bring the special attractions for the event.
The prestigious HPR Films sponsored Adarsha Dampathi-2024 competition offers free entry. Prizes include a first-place gift voucher worth Rs 15,000 and a trophy, a second-place gift voucher worth Rs 10,000 and a trophy, and a third-place gift voucher worth Rs 7,500 and a trophy. Additionally, gift vouchers from leading brands will be given to all finalists and participants.
Each club can register only one couple, with November 10 as the last date for registration.
