Bengaluru, Apr 8: State BJP president and MP Nalin Kumar Kateel, has asked all the party cadres to stick to the instructions of the national president of the party not to issue any statement in the backdrop of fight against coronavirus that can hurt communal sentiments.
Speaking to a Kannada daily on Tuesday April 7, he asserted that the immediate challenge before everyone is to drive away coronavirus pandemic that has gripped the country. "Our total concentration should be towards eradicating coronavirus infection. At this juncture, no one should issue statements which can distract us from working for our all-important goal.
“The direction issued on this issue by the national president should be obeyed by people's representatives, leaders, and workers of the party. By doing so, they have to strengthen the hands of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and chief minister B S Yediyurappa," he asserted.
At the same time, BJP national president J P Nadda, has also urged the party workers and leaders not to drag religion into the issue of concerted fight against coronavirus.
