Dubai, Dec 6: Elias D’Souza from Hospet has been elected unanimously as the President of ‘Udentichim Neketram’ The Moodbidri Varado Catholic Association for the year 2010-11 during its Annual General Body Meeting held on December 4, 2009 at Al Mass Conference Hall, Dubai, U.A.E.
Followed by the election of the President, voting was held for the New Managing Committee including Office Bearers and The Parish wise Committee Members for the ensuing year.
Valerian Pereira Shirthady as a Vice President and Melwin D’Mello Belvai as a General Secretary were also elected.
The General Body Meeting formally commenced with a short prayer by Reshma D’Souza & Elias D’Souza followed by the tabling of Accounts Statements of the preceding year.
The outgoing President Lawrence D’Souza Moodbidri delivered a brief message to the members.
The event was compeered by Ullas Fernandes Siddakatte while the electoral process was conducted by Elias D’Souza Hospet.
The program winded up with a vote of thanks by Rudolf Sanctis Sampige.
Lunch was served to the members.
