Bengaluru, Mar 26: Because of coronavirus scare, the situation now is such that all activities in the country have almost come to a grinding halt. As a precautionary measure against proliferation of coronavirus cases, we had postponed SSLC examination. It is wrong to say that the examination has been cancelled because of coronavirus," clarified state education minister Suresh Kumar.
Of late, news that SSLC examination has been put off because of coronavirus scare is making the rounds. This information has become viral in social websites. This has given rise to confusion in the minds of students and their parents.

In this background, minister, Suresh Kumar, clarified the current position through a tweet. "An outright false information that SSLC examination has been cancelled is being circulated through some media and social websites. No decision to cancel SSLC examination has been taken. No meeting has so far been held to discuss about the examinations," Kumar stated.
Because of the spread of coronavirus, SSLC and last of the examinations of PU second year had been postponed. Some people, taking advantage of this situation, have been spreading fake information, Kumar said, duly urging the students to continue with their studies as the government has not taken any decision to cancel the examinations.
