Jebel Ali : Dabazo - Glitter, Glamour Abound in Fashion Show - Andrea Emerges Winner

Jebel Ali, Nov 20: 'Dabazo -3, ' organised by Jebel Ali Assisi Konkani Community (JAKC) under the able leadership of John Monteiro, was the best among the three successful cultural events presented by JAKC.
The event was filled with entrainment, especially with music, comedy and spectacular fashion show that was the show-stealer, by ladies and children.
The centre of attraction for the ladies was the fashion show, as 16 contestants were in fray to lift the prestigious JAKLC winner award. At the end, young Andrean Nandini D'souza, born and brought-up in UAE and haling from Kaup, Udupi district, emerged winner by beating her fellow contestants.

The fashion show saw a keen competition, as all the 16 constants were extremely competitive, who ably fought to steal the thunder, until the second round.
Rakesh Puri, Manoj Mathew, Kaajal Kumar (Ms), professional judges from various fileds supervised the fashion show.
The programme began at 9.00 pm with a creative welcome song from the JAKC members, followed by a brief introduction on the history and achievements of JAKC since its inception.
Utta Menezes, who has been emerging as one of the best compeers around, took charge of the show, and compered the programme fluently, both in Konkani and English languages, for about four long hours.
Noted singers, Vincent Fernandes and his team, presented Konkani Opera. The highlight of the singing was the introduction of the first time performer, Dubai Reshma Cutinho, who, with her melodious voice and superb presentation, won the hearts of the Konkani lovers with her solo song. Dony and Asha Correa supported Vincent Fernandes in the Opera and other Konkani numbers.
Pradeep Barboza, Deepak D'Silva and team presented comedy skits , which succeeded in entertaining the audience, who were seen laughing their hearts out.
Children’s fashion show was another attraction of the event, and the cute little ones displayed competitive spirits and showed exemplary skills on stage, right from the catwalk to self-presentation.
Clarence Pinto introduced the sponsors of the event. Later, main sponsors, co-sponsors and media sponsors were felicitated. Fr Eugene, Jebel Ali parish priest, who was the guest at the function, exhorted young talents to come up and exhibit their skills without any hesitation.
Walter nandalike of daijiworld.com, which was the exclusive media sponsor for the event, spoke on the occasion and appreciated JAKC and wished that, every year, the JAKC will come out with innovative ideas as before, and continue to improve upon their organization skills.
