Infosys sacks three employees arrested on fraud charge

Bengaluru, March 9 (IANS): Global software major Infosys on Monday sacked three of its techies who were arrested on a bribe charge levelled by the Income Tax Department, said a company official.

"The three employees have been terminated after a thorough internal investigation," said the city-based IT behemoth in an email to IANS.

Admitting that the company was aware of the allegations against the accused who have been found violating the company's policies by the tax authorities, the official said the company takes any breach of its policies and code of conduct seriously.

"We are cooperating with the authorities," the official added.

The three accused are Renugunta Kalyan Kumar, Prakash and Deveshwar Reddy.

Infosys, Wipro, TCS are showing the big component as a salary package. But, base salary stays as 7000 RS per month. Rest components are deductable with Tax bracket. If it is a 45000 per month package, take home stays as 14,000 to 15000 RS only, not more than that.

If he gets onsite opportunity, they he could do some amount as a savings, but Indian salary package is not good at all compared to the late night stays or long working hours. I know, what they did was wrong, at least would have tried for better opportunities

Actual salaries are low. CTC(cost to company) salaries are high as a meal is counted as if it was served by a 5 star hotel ,and a PC accommodation is counted as a resort rent. The actual workers take home a poor amount that is why such things happen.

Indian are genetically ingrained in corruption and nepotism.... These techies draw handsome salaries and perks, disgusting to note that they succumb to such criminal activities, even when they are recruited on projects, in foreign locations !!!

Athi aase, gathi kedu... they had good job and would have built a nice life. But greediness and short cut methods to make money overtook their skills.

Now rot in prison for some months or years and then come out. By the time they would have lost precious time and above all honour and no company will hire them.

    Infosys F&A pays 10-20k salary.
10 for freshers and 20K for 8 years experience.
So they went for a shortcut.

let them taste prison food now
