Kolar, Mar 4: An ascetic who was addressed by the villagers as Swami out of reverence, who had gone suddenly missing during Shivaratri festival, has been found.
He has now become a family man.
The Swami had eloped with a girl from Holali village in the taluk is found to have become her husband during the period he went missing.
Dattatreya Avadhoot Swami, head of Holali Bheelingeshwara Sevashram, had gone away from Holali village with a girl from the same village on February 27. The girl's parents had thereafter filed complaint in Kolar rural police station, charging him of kidnap. The Swami is now in the custody of the police. He was found in the company of the girl from near Mangaluru and brought back here.
