Bengaluru: 'Delhi police hesitated because of Mangaluru experience' - MP Rajeev Chandrasekhar

Daijiworld Media Network - Bengaluru (SP)

Bengaluru, Feb 26: Rajya Sabha MP and BJP member Rajeev Chandrasekhar, has accused opposition parties of denting the morale of the policemen relating to firing incident at Mangaluru. He reasoned that the Delhi police have dithered from taking proactive steps to stop violence at Delhi because of the above experience.

"The violence at Delhi is pre-conceived. There is a need to take stringent action against it. Mangaluru had gone through similar experience on December 19, 2019," he stated. Rajeev said that after the situation turned violent at Mangaluru, the police were forced to open firing. But, he said, that the opposition parties have been holding the police guilty in this incident.

In a tweet, Rajeev Chandrasekhar said that the firing incident is now grappling with things like public interest litigations and other judicial processes. Frustrated by this development, and because of criticism by the opposition, Delhi police perhaps have hesitated from taking strict action, he stated.

As a BJP MP and Owner of Biased Modia Group, your response or tweet doesn't take a stand other than that of Bhakts...Delhi police's cruelty and bias are on open for everyone to see. They themselves were involved in pelting stones too. And as far as Mangaluru is concerned the hype was created by our government by imposing unwanted sections to curb the fundamental right to protest. "A democratically elected government" is the power given to the party to "govern, not to rule"...

Yes, only difference could be which party people culminated the violence? If people were from opposition....it was easy for them to silence the protesters! In Delhi protesters were their favorite?

This Rajya Sabha MP is very knowledgeable! The Mangalore cops were more loyal than the queen and the Delhi ones were waiting for their master's voice.

Stop creating excuses for incompetence and partisanship, Mr. Rajeev Chandrasekhar. Start the healing process.

People are fed up of Rajeev Chandrashekar's Republic tv , Suvarna news and their screaming anchors Arnab Gosamy and Ajit Hanumakkanavar .

Day and night they are telecasting one sided news. and views So the Nation knows what is what. Hindu Muslims in Mangalore live in harmony and peace. But the media spoils their unity. Delhi police have failed in their duty. They were mute spectators. What Rajeev Chandrashekar says about Anurag Takur, Kapil Mishra, Parves and other BJP leaders? As a BJP MP he should have asked his print and electronic media to do the to be fair and unbiased.

Don't spit venom just because you did not like the person...

It is hard fact that police are confused.
If they take quick action like Mangalore, they will be blamed
If they take delayed action like Delhi, they will be blamed.
No one can help this "Catch 22" situation

Delhi police publicly demonstrated that they have no powers and they act as per the orders received from the top political leaders and Sangh Parivar. The best example is JNU incident where they escorted in and out ABVP goons and still no FIR.

Please read the news carefully and respond.

The situation being put forward is a Catch 22 situation for police.
if they take quick action also, they will be blamed by a set of people (Mangalore)
if they take delayed action also, they will be blamed by the same set of people (Delhi)

The Delhi police reports to the Central Government. To the Central Home Minister.

So the Delhi Police may have copied the Gujarat model, and no Mangaluru police which reports to the state Government.

Never in the history of India Police has seen vandalising public property. In national capital not once again and again Delhi Police has seen breaking CCTV cameras to unleash their brutality against the anti-CAA protesters.

Lets remind that MP Rajeev Chandrasekhar that The Delhi police force personnel deployed in New Delhi’s Jaffrabad were wearing a uniform similar to the disruptive pattern camouflage of the Indian Army.
“There are policy guidelines which prohibit paramilitary and state police forces from wearing uniforms donned by the military,”.

Suspected Pakistani terrorists who launched a pre-dawn attack on the Pathankot air base in Punjab had come attired in army fatigues.

In the past Army Directs Civilians And Soldier's Dependents Not To Wear military uniform . The six terrorists who attacked Pathankot Indian Air Force base wore army fatigues (dress).

Now Delhi police is misusing the Army Uniform. In some cases wearing mask to vandalism the public property. Some are also exposed in social media for not wearing name badge that is mandatory.

This MP should read the Supreme Court verdict that says "the moment an inflammatory remark is made, police should take action and rebuked for their lack of professionalism in controlling the violence".
