Bengaluru, Feb 26: Rajya Sabha MP and BJP member Rajeev Chandrasekhar, has accused opposition parties of denting the morale of the policemen relating to firing incident at Mangaluru. He reasoned that the Delhi police have dithered from taking proactive steps to stop violence at Delhi because of the above experience.
"The violence at Delhi is pre-conceived. There is a need to take stringent action against it. Mangaluru had gone through similar experience on December 19, 2019," he stated. Rajeev said that after the situation turned violent at Mangaluru, the police were forced to open firing. But, he said, that the opposition parties have been holding the police guilty in this incident.
In a tweet, Rajeev Chandrasekhar said that the firing incident is now grappling with things like public interest litigations and other judicial processes. Frustrated by this development, and because of criticism by the opposition, Delhi police perhaps have hesitated from taking strict action, he stated.
