Mumbai, Feb 24: The recently released Hindi song 'Tum Na Ho' composed by Mangaluru born M Ajay Vaas is now trending in the Indian music world and has already received an overwhelming response from people all over the world. The song has reached 11 million views on YouTube in just three days.
'Tum Na Ho', sung by famous singers Arjun Kanungo and Prakriti Kakar, is written by lyricist Kunaal Vermaa. It was released on February 19. The song beautifully narrates the love story of a young couple who despite living apart from each other, continue to be each other’s greatest strengths. It portrays the journey of a couple who desire to spend every moment with each other if not physically then in memories.

Speaking to Dajiworld.com, Ajay said, "I always had a dream of composing fully-fledged Hindi songs. I was mentored and guided by the famous Bollywood film director Mohit Suri who has directed films like Aashiqui 2, Ek Villain, Half Girlfriend and Malang. I was then introduced to Universal Music India by him where I got my first break as a music composer for the song 'Teri Yaad' which was released in 2018 under the label ‘Vyrl Originals’. The song had also reached a million of hearts. I next collaborated with a famous music composer ‘Rishi Rich’ and composed a song ‘Ramuni Banamla’ for Telugu film ‘Lovers’."
Ajay is the son of A F Sathish and Janet Vas and brother of Ashwini Vas and hails from MG Road, Ballalbagh in the city. While some people did not believe that he could make a career in the music industry, Ajay’s parents supported his passion and dreams of becoming a music composer.
He moved to Mumbai in the year 2012 to accomplish his dream of becoming a music composer. After completing his sound engineering course from the Digital Academy-The Film School in Mumbai, he began composing several advertising jingles for various production houses in Mumbai.
