Mangaluru, Feb 14: It is shocking news to everyone who thinks that Usain Bolt is unbeatable. It is true that Usain Bolt has broken the world record over and over again in the 100 meter dash. However, Srinivas, a Kambala Jockey of coastal Karnataka, has reportedly beaten Usain Bolt's record and re-written the record in his name.
Srinivas Gowda has natural six pack abs without going to the gym through sheer hard work. If he gets down to the Kambala field he springs like Cheetah. Now he is well-known in the coastal belt for his unique record. Srinivas Gowda is known as Mijaru Ashwathapura Srinivas Gowda in Kambala sport circle.

Usain Bolt had clocked 9.58 sec in the 100 meter dash. But Srinivas Gowda has reached the same distance in just 9.55 sec on the Kambala track along with the buffaloes. This event took place on February 1 at Aikala in the district. Srinivas Gowda took only 13.62 sec to cover a distance of 142.50 meter. If the same is tallied for 100 meters, it works out to be just 9.55 sec.
It should also be noted that Usain Bolt runs on synthetic track, which helps the runner to run faster as the resistance is less. But in Kambala field, the legs of the runner get submerged every time in the slime. In addition, the Kambala jockey has to hold the rope of the buffaloes in one hand and the stick in the other and also concentrate on the buffaloes and self. So Srinivas Gowda runs under difficult conditions compared to Usain Bolt or any other 100 meter runner on synthetic tracks.
Srinivas Gowda did not take any formal training in this sport but has done this out of sheer passion for the sport. He has bagged the highest number of gold medals in the Kambala sport of this season.
