Mangaluru Feb 5: The 39th Akhila Bharathiya Vidhyarthi Parishat (ABVP) three-day state level convention will be held from February 7 to 9 at Townhall, said president of welcome committee K C Naik.
Addressing media here on Wednesday February 5, K C Naik said, "Deputy chief minister Dr Ashwath Narayan will inaugurate the convention on February 7. The event will be presided over by former governor and former ABVP National president P B Acharya. The inauguration programme will be graced by ABVP national organising secretary Ashish Chauhan and Mangalore University vice-chancellor Prof P S Yadapadithaya. Meanwhile, president of Karnataka Janapada Academy Manjamma Jogatthi will inaugurate photo exhibition which consist of activities of ABVP throughout the state and also tourist places of Mangaluru. Cultural event will be held by Alva’s College Moodbidiri.
He also said, "On February 8, a special lecture will be held on the topic 'Present India' which will be addressed by ABVP national organising secretary Sunil Ambekar and president of NITTE education trust N Vinaya Hegde. On February 8, there will be procession on the eve of convention in city's main streets and also public meet which will be addressed by ABVP national president Bengaluru, Harsha Narayana and also by student leaders.”
“On Febraury 9, sessions will be held which will be addressed by K N Raghunandan, national deputy organising secretary, Bhopal,” said KC Naik.
Welcome committee secretary C A Shantharam Shetty, city president ABVP Mangaluru Bharathi Sanjay Prabhu and Manikant Kalasa were present.
