Mysore, Aug 11: Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa warned the voters that they will continue to suffer from bitter experiences, as long as they do not make up their mind to elect the candidate fielded by the BJP. Addressing various electioneering meetings organized on Monday August 10, at places like Aldoor, Navilur, Ganaganur, Kuder, Bennur, Ummattor, Santemaranahalli etc., in Kollegal constituency, he asked them to elect the BJP if they want development works to be conducted in their constituency.
Expressing his displeasure at the pathetic condition of the roads in these villages, he said, electing the BJP candidate would be advantageous to them, as the MLA would be in the ruling party and therefore, in a better position to get the works done. He told them that the BJP government has envisioned several programmes to develop Chamarajanagar constituency, which will be realized only if the BJP candidate becomes victorious.
Explaining the programmes specifically meant for the women, he told that his government is the only one to have shown so much concern for their welfare. While explaining to them that the state government would not be affected by the victory or defeat of the BJP candidate, he claimed, that the people will stand to benefit if the BJP candidate is elected.
Ministers Halappa, Krishna Palemar, BJP candidate Nanjundaswami, Housing Board chairman G T Deve Gowda and Warehousing Corporation chairman Mahadev accompanied the Chief Minister during his election tour.
