A star-studded reunion

This project marks a special reunion for Tabu with Akshay Kumar, Paresh Rawal, and director Priyadarshan, bringing back memories of their 2000 cult hit comedy Hera Pheri. Sharing her excitement, Tabu took to Instagram on Saturday to post a photo of the film’s clapperboard, captioning it:

A director-actor comeback

Bhooth Bangla also marks Akshay Kumar’s first collaboration with Priyadarshan in over 14 years. Their last film together was the 2010 political satire Khatta Meetha.

Tabu's recent ventures

Tabu’s latest international endeavor was the American science fiction series Dune: Prophecy, where she played the role of Sister Francesca, adding another feather to her illustrious cap.

With such a powerhouse cast and the magic of Priyadarshan’s direction, Bhooth Bangla is shaping up to be one of the most anticipated films of 2026.
