Mangalore, Aug 8: The Air India Express flight to Kuwait, which was to leave Bajpe airport here at 8.45 pm on Thursday August 6, left after a delay of 19 hours, at 4 pm on Friday August 7, because of technical snags. All the 158 passengers of the flight were provided accommodation in the city hotels, informed Air India manager Chellam Prasad.
Because of inclement weather, the Dubai flight that was to land in the city airport at 6.30 am on Friday, had to be diverted to Kozhikode. It touched down again at Bajpe airport at 9.30 am. Another flight from Dubai too landed with an hour's delay, airport sources said.
