Doha, Jan 11: The South Kanara Muslim Welfare Association (SKMWA) held its 33rd Annual General Meeting (AGM) on January 3 at Hyderabad Palace Restaurant, marking a significant moment Imran Ahmed Bava has been elected as the new president of SKMWA.
The event was hosted by vice president Imran Bawa, who ensured the smooth execution of the proceedings. The meeting began with the recitation of the Holy Quran by Ramzil Kausary, followed by a warm welcome note from outgoing vice president Rizwan Ahmed.
General secretary Abdulhameed Rasheed Kakinje presented the annual report, summarizing the association’s activities and accomplishments over the past year, while treasurer Mohammed Faisal Sheikh shared the financial report, providing a clear and transparent overview of the association's financial standing.
Outgoing president Suhaib Ahmed addressed the gathering, expressing his gratitude to the members for their unwavering support during his tenure. He concluded his speech with a heartfelt vote of thanks, officially dissolving the outgoing committee.
