Four-day ‘Yuvajanothsava’ inaugurated in Ballari

Ballari, Oct 25: “Every plant that is planted grows. But even after seeing that growth, why do humans grow plants?” was the thought provoking question raised by the chief guest Sri Nijagunaprabhu Thontadarya Swamigalu at the four-day ‘Yuvajanothsava’ held at Ballari on Thursday, October 24.

Speaking on the occasion he said that a Christian is an Indian, a Lingayat is an Indian and what is needed in our nation is love.

‘Yuvajanothsava’ was inaugurated by watering a sapling. Among the invited chief guests were Fr Geevarghese, bishop of Puttur diocese, Fr Anthonyswamy bishop of Chikkamagaluru diocese, Allam Veerbhadrappa, MLC and KC Kondiah, MLC.

President of Yuvajanothsava Bishop Henry D’Souza called on the youth to awake and arise in order to preserve the environment, to improve the land and the society.

Vicar general Fr Anthony Raj P welcomed the gathering. All the diocesan directors of 14 dioceses were present for the occasion. Deepti compered the programme. Jai Joseph rendered the vote of thanks.
