Mysuru, Oct 20: "Congress and JD (S) are saying that the 17 disqualified MLAs brought down the coalition government. But the actual reason is the greed for power of leaders of both parties that resulted in the collapse of the government," said A H Vishwanath, one of the 17 disqualified MLAs.
Vishwanath said that leader of opposition Siddaramaiah is the reason for his resignation from the MLA position.
Speaking at a programme at Hunsur, the disqualified MLA Vishwanath said, "I was mentally harassed by Siddaramaiah and that is why I resigned from the Congress party. He also severely criticized the then speaker of the coalition government Ramesh Kumar and said that his decision to disqualify the MLAs choked the government and made it to lose the majority.
"Both former CMs Siddaramaiah and H D Kumaraswamy conspired against me. I was heckled after the elections were over and made a scapegoat. I was promised of a minister position but kept away from it because of the understanding between Siddaramaiah and Kumaraswamy."
